On April 24–25, the partners of the BIODESIGN4INSULATION project gathered in Istanbul for a productive face-to-face meeting, strengthening collaboration and moving the project forward.
During the two-day event, the consortium had the opportunity to visit the facilities of Kimpur and Arçelik/Beko, gaining first-hand insights into their production plants and laboratories where key project activities will be developed. These visits provided a valuable opportunity to deepen the partners’ understanding of the industrial processes and technological capabilities that will support BIODESIGN4INSULATION’s objectives.
The meeting also included a comprehensive project update. Partners presented the progress achieved in the various ongoing activities, shared viewpoints, and discussed strategies to ensure the successful continuation of project tasks. This open exchange helped align efforts and define the next steps in the project’s implementation.
Administrative matters were also addressed, ensuring smooth management of the project. Importantly, the consortium agreed on the location for the next face-to-face meeting: Riga, Latvia, in 2026.
The BIODESIGN4INSULATION team looks forward to maintaining this positive momentum as we work together toward developing sustainable, high-performance insulation materials for a greener future.
